The Brief
ETF Securities developed the world’s first exchange traded fund (“ETF”) based on a commodity. Gold Bullion Securities (“GOLD”) was first listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in March 2003, followed by Oil Securities in 2005. Their services were to be made available online to a broad range of users.
The Challenge
The development of these new products and exchange traded commodities have now made it possible for ordinary investors to invest in commodities. The ADWEB Agency was engaged to bring these services to life through innovative web-based services involving oil charts, valuations, research and general ‘how’to’ information.
The Success
In June 2005, ETF Securities listed the world’s first open-ended, exchange-traded fund based on oil, supported by the website designed by The ADWEB Agency.
